The Policy

Notice the underlined sentence below. They are supposed to give this
policy and the accompanying procedures to students every year. When one
of the
parents asked the administration for evidence that they or their son
had ever gotten this policy, they were given a piece of paper that said
the son got the Student Handbook. The Student Handbook is anemic compared
to this policy and its procedures (which are not included here but are
multiple pages)!
If the District is going to have such an extreme policy, why do they
keep it a secret?! This policy isn't even readily available to students!
Its in a file cabinet over in the Main Administration Building (3 miles
from the High School). That's where I had to go to get it.
None of the 8 kids expected the punishment they received. The teacher
in charge didn't expect the punishment the kids received! If the kids
didn't know and there are obvious confusing and conflicting district
policies and directives on this subject to explain why they and the teacher
didn't know, doesn't that make the district just a little bit culpable?
Doesn't it give them rationale to use just a little judgment and discretion?
Why is it only the kids get expelled?
